This magical season for the San José State Spartans (20-12) continues, as SJSU took down the Nevada Wolf Pack (22-10), 81-77 in overtime, from the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada in the Mountain West Conference Tournament Quarterfinals.

The win also marks the first ever win in the MWC Tournament for the Spartans.
Omari Moore struggled in the first half with four points on 2-for-8 from the field, but the Mountain West Player of the Year caught fire in the second half and overtime, finishing with 26 points and 10 assists.
Sage Tolbert III, who led SJSU in the first half, finished with 20 points on 8-for-13 from the field and six rebounds.
The job Time Miles done in his two years at SJSU has been nothing short of remarkable.
It’s the program’s first 20-win season since SJSU went 22-9 in the 1980-81 season. The program had single-digit wins in 15 of the previous 20 seasons entering the 2022-23 season. The team sits at 20-12 and two wins shy of getting the MWC auto-bid & dancing into the NCAA Tournament.
