It was a busy draft night for the Milwaukee Bucks.
Entering Thursday’s draft night, Milwaukee had only one selection, pick No. 58 (the final pick in the draft).
However, Jon Horst made some moves. Milwaukee traded a future second round draft pick (2030) and cash considerations to Orlando in exchange for the No. 36 pick in the draft.
At No. 36, the Bucks got Andre Jackson Jr., who played at the University of Connecticut, where the Huskies just won the 2023 National Championship.
Horst mentioned multiple times Thursday night that Jackson is a “winner.” Horst also mentioned that they were comfortable with Jackson’s medicals & he was able to come to Milwaukee during the process. They also believe it’s possible for Jackson to guard “one through four” in the NBA.
I watched UConn a lot this past season & Jackson has a spectacular feel for the game. Great passer, super athletic, can really defend….but really can’t shoot it all that well.
Then with the No. 58 pick, Milwaukee selected University of Kentucky freshman Chris Livingston. He started 26 games in his line season with Kentucky & is 6-foot-6 with a 6-foot-11 wingspan.
Livingston has some pretty good potential on both ends of the floor, which is all you can ask for at this pick.

Livingston is a Bucks legend for telling every team to piss off because he’s a Milwaukee Buck.
In my opinion, the steal of the night when when Milwaukee signed undrafted Omari Moore to a two-way contract.

This is my most favorite two-way signing the Bucks have had. Moore is a stud. He can handle the ball, pass, & shoot a bit.
I always watch the NBA Summer League, but I’m even more intrigued this year.
Overall, I think it was a successful Draft Night for the Milwaukee Bucks & I have zero complaints with either pick or the Moore signing.
The Adrian Griffin era is starting off with a lot of athleticism & adding defense. I think this team might put the rest of the league in hell defensively.
In other Bucks related news, Khris Middleton declined his $40-Million player option & is a Free Agent. Bucks GM Jon Horst said Khris Middleton is “core to who we are … and we hope to have him back.”
