Missed Opportunities Doom Green Bay Packers

Missed opportunities cost the Green Bay Packers a trip to the NFC Championship game next Sunday, as the Packers lost to the Santa Clara 49ers, 24-21, at Levi Stadium in Santa Clara, California. Welcome to the playoffs where it’s never easy.

How many playoff losses like this can one fanbase take?

For someone who struggles with anxiety, this game did me no favors.

The better team lost today.

I’ve lost count of how many times the Packers season has come to a conclusion when they were the better team on that day.

I’ve seen a decent amount of Jordan Love slander on social media, but the reality is he played a heck of a game. Sure, he had a couple bad throws that I’m sure he’d like to have back, like the interception to end the game, but he should have never been in that situation to begin with.

Too many missed opportunities between players, refs (they were miserable), kicking, & everything in between.

It’s still hard to believe the Packers lost that game. Green Bay beat themselves tonight.

The Packers had three Red Zone trips in the first half & came away with just six points.

Packers fans, & Wisconsin sports fans in general, should be immune to this heartbreak, sadly.

This one stings because Green Bay had their chances to extend leads or put the game out of reach.

As disappointed as I am with this loss, I am proud of this young team & proud to call myself a Packers fan. It was a hell of a season in what was supposed to be a “rebuilding” season. Sure there was some adversity & frustration, but what this team showed in the second half of the regular season & these two playoff games, it gives us a small taste of what the future could be. I’ll take JLove as QB1 every day. Just need some safties, Cornerback depth, Kicker competition & a few other holes plugged.

Jordan Love is without a doubt the next franchise QB & it’s ignorant of you to say otherwise.

Will Joe Barry be back as DC in 2024? God I hope not.

The defense wasn’t the reason the Packers lost, but Brock Purdy was pretty terrible on the other side of the ball & that unit didn’t make him pay.

I’ll probably take a few days before I watch the replay of this game to give myself a chance to decompress a bit from it. There’s such a finality to these playoff games. While they are much more special than regular season games, they hurt a lot more.

I love the Green Bay Packers. I’m as excited as I’ve ever been for next season & where this team can take us.
