After a historic season, the No. 1 Green Bay Blizzard (14-4) fall to the No. 3 Massachusetts Pirates (10-8) in the IFL Eastern Conference Championship game by a final of 51-28 from inside the Resch Center.
Massachusetts will be headed to Henderson, Nevada in search for their second title in four years.
The Blizzard joined the IFL in 2010 & were looking to make their first appearance in the IFL Title game in franchise history, but that’ll have to wait for another year.

The turning point of the game was in the second quarter. Two key Green Bay turnovers were the difference. First a fumble while trailing 14-7, which Massachusetts scored to make it a 20-7 ball game. Then with 0:48 remaining in the second quarter, Max Meylor threw a pick-6 to give Massachusetts a 34-7 lead. At that point, Green Bay dug themselves too big of a hole to overcome.
It was a really disappointing conclusion to a really fun season for the Green Bay Blizzard.
