The Green Bay Packers (11-4) dominate the New Orleans Saints (5-10), 34-0, at Lambeau Field on Monday Night Football! The Packers came today, scoring touchdowns on their first three offensive possessions to put a dagger in this game.
The win secures a playoff berth for the Green & Gold. This team feels different to me. I really feel like Lombardi is coming home in February.
Josh Jacobs set the tone early & often as he so often has done the past few weeks. Once the Packers went up 21-0 after that third drive, the game was essentially over.
Josh Jacobs = DAWG. Chris Brooks = DAWG. Emanuel Wilson = DAWG.
The Saints were definitely short handed coming into this game, but Jeff Hafley coached a phenomenal game & the Saints never really threatened throughout the entirety of the game.
It was thorough domination from the Packers. They put up 34 points & still left a lot on the table & don’t allow the opponent to score a single point themselves. Just great, GREAT, work from 1265 Lombardi Avenue. Thirty Four to NOTHING is not an every day occurrence.
This style of play has me juiced for playoff football even on the road. Run game & defense travels. This is the major difference that this team has comparative to any team Matt LaFleur has had up until this point & maybe even the past few coaches. It’s rare that a Packers team has a running game & a defense. This team has a running game, there’s no question about that & I’m starting to think this team has a defense.
It’s nice to have a kicker. It felt like we lived in purgatory for like 10 years, but it was just one full season & part of this year.
The Packers play in Minnesota on Sunday. The game did get moved to 3:25 p.m., it’s a big game for both teams to say the least.
There’s a lot of hypothetical matchups for the Packers still with two games left. Green Bay can get anywhere from the five-seed to the seven-seed. If there is a team I’d probably like to avoid in the first round, it’d probably be Tampa Bay.
