There’s such a finality to these postseason games. While they’re a lot more special than the regular season games, they hurt a lot more.
The 2024 Green Bay Packers season has unfortunately come to an end in Philadelphia, losing to the Eagles 22-10 in the Wild Card Round.
While I’m certainly disappointed with tonight’s game, I still love this team. I’m still going to Carry The G proudly.
The Packers committed four turnovers, starting with Keisean Nixon’s fumble on the opening kickoff of the game, allowing Philadelphia to take a 7-0 lead 1:39 into the game & it was an uphill battle for the Packers the rest of the way.
I have to ask, what exactly is the f’kn point of replay? Nixon clearly recovers his own fumble, they review it & still get the call wrong! Not to mention they don’t call defensive pass interference in the end zone to make their dinner reservations.
Green Bay also committed eight penalties.
Tough to win this time of year when you turn the ball over & put yourself behind the sticks.
The offense did overcome some of their penalty miscues by converting first & 20’s and third & 20’s.
Jordan Love didn’t play well today, but in his defense, the odds stacked up against him tonight with losing his top three wide receivers & an offensive line that played poorly. Zach Tom picked a bad time to play probably his worst game of the season.
Proud of the way Josh Jacobs competed & played bully ball tonight. Not sure there’s many guys that play with more heart than him.
I’m proud of Jeff Hafley’s group. The defense played their tails off at an elite level.
This is a young team, which is an excuse, but it’s also a reality.
One thing I was hoping to see from this team in year two of this “rebuild” was more consistency, unfortunately this team was consistently inconsistent.
While Packers fans desperately try to bandage their slit wrists, I’ll be the optimist & remind everyone that this is the logical result of having the youngest team in the entire NFL for the second consecutive season. This wasn’t THE year in the grand plan. What happens in ensuing years will tell the whole story.
August & September can’t come soon enough!
