The Wisconsin Badgers (38-1-2) Women’s Hockey team are your National Champions!!!!!

What a game!

CUE VARSITY!!!! U-RAH-RAH!

Junior Kirsten Simms tied the game at 3-3 on a penalty shot with 18.9 seconds left in the third period to send us to a thrilling finish.

Simms then scored the game winner in overtime off a rebound to take down No. 2 Ohio State Buckeyes., avenging last years crushing loss to the Buckeyes in the title game.

Build the Kirsten Simms statue immediately!!!!

Hats off to the Wisconsin Women’s hockey squad! It’s the eighth National Championship in program history and the 33rd National Championship for the University of Wisconsin.

This women’s hockey program might be the most dominant program in college sports history … certainly in women’s college sports history. The dynasty lives on!

They’ll be talking about this game for the next 50 years. Absolutely legendary!
