Up North & Green Bay Packers 2025 Family Night

As I get this column started, I’d like to remind you all of my Patreon community. That community is a big part of my website & my other social media accounts (YouTube, Twitch, etc.). If you’d like to become a member, you can go to https://www.patreon.com/nickobot.

Anyone that knows me knows that I very much enjoy staying within a handful of miles from home & away from people (unless I’m at a sporting event).

My father came to visit & I treated him to a Brewers game (always good when the Brewers beat the team from the South of the border from Wrigley). It was a packed house & some great energy at Miller Park – yes it will always be Miller Park. Also helped seeing the sad Cubs fans leave in the 8th inning.

We went up North for a couple days & went to the Casino – which I need to look into having Casino trips as a tax write-off – had some burgers at this awesome hole in the wall ice cream/food stand. I’m a big fan of supporting local/small/family run businesses.

We then went to the annual 2025 Green Bay Packers Family Night – aka a glorified practice for the public inside historic Lambeau Field.

It was my first time going to Family Night & it was pretty cool. It’s a very unique experience.

One thing I love about being a fan of Wisconsin sports teams (Badgers, Bucks, Brewers, Packers, etc.) is there’s such a community/family feel to it (although, Chris McIntosh is desperately trying to destroy that with Badgers Football). All these programs do unique things that you rarely see elsewhere & rarely see the support elsewhere that you get with the Wisconsin sports teams.

Family Night may have been a glorified practice, but it was fun to see the squad & how the guys looked in some drills, along with some teaching moments for Matt LaFleur & company.

Some fireworks to end the night.
