UConn Huskies Football Appears To Need A New Head Coach

Per a report from Pete Thamel, Jim Mora is going to be named the next head coach of the Colorado State Rams in the near future.

Jim Mora has posted a 27-23 (.540) record in four seasons, including a 1-1 (.500) bowl record with another bowl game this season. Mora has led the Huskies to consecutive nine-win seasons. In 10 seasons as a college head coach, Mora has posted a 73-53 (.579) career record.

I think it’s a great hire for Colorado State, but I’m gutted for the UConn fans and alumni. Mora resurrected this program from the dead, made the program relevant and brought optimism around the program.

UConn Athletic Director, David Benedict, needs to get this hire right.
