The Milwaukee Panthers (11-17, 7-10 Horizon) used a 50-point second half to overcome an eight-point deficit in the final 20 minutes to take down the Green Bay Phoenix (15-13, 10-7 Horizon), 75-72, in a thriller from historic UWM Panther Arena.

It was an electric crowd of 4,363 people in attendance today. Green Bay fans traveled well to the game, which made it fun. This was the best atmosphere at a Panthers home game at UWM Panther Arena that I’ve ever been to.

It was a huge victory for Milwaukee, despite only leading for a total of 1:54 in the game.

Chandler Jackson was phenomenal today scoring 23 points and grabbing six rebounds and freshman Stevie Elam may not have had the best shooting day came up with a huge steal late in the game and also hit two clutch free throws and an important three pointer.

In the second half alone, there were nine lead changes.

Marcus Hall played a heck of a game for Green Bay, scoring a career-high 32 points and added seven rebounds.

I was proud of Milwaukee for only committing six turnovers in this one. That’s been an area that they’ve desperately needed to get better at.

The Milwaukee Panthers will play the Detroit Mercy Titans (12-13, 9-7 Horizon) on Friday, February 20th in another very important game for UWM. Tipoff from Calihan Hall in Detroit, Michigan is set for 6:00 p.m. CT and will be televised on ESPN+.
