The Wisconsin Badgers (24-12-2) are headed to the men’s hockey National Championship game!!!! (Insert Jump Around)
The Badgers defeated the North Dakota Fighting Hawks (29-9-1), 2-1, in the Frozen Four from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Wisconsin scored two goals 27-seconds apart in the First Period. The first came at 12:54 from Simon Tassy, then at the 13:21 mark Ryan Botterill put UW ahead 2-0.
North Dakota scored with 52 seconds left in the Third Period to cut it to a 2-1 game, but the Badgers were able to finish the job.
I thought Daniel Hauser played phenomenal in net for Wisconsin. Hauser saved 21 of 22 shots and really bailed out the UW defense at times.

The Badgers will play in the National Championship on Saturday at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Game time is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. (CT) and will be televised on ESPN. UW will either face fellow Big Ten foe, the Michigan Wolverines (31-7-1), or the Denver Pioneers (27-11-3). That Frozen Four game is underway as I write this blog.
