Yesterday the NFL officially released the schedule for every team.

Green Bay opens the 2026 preseason in Pittsburgh against Mike McCarthy and maybe Aaron Rodgers (?) on Thursday August 13th at 6:00 PM (CT). Then they travel to Colorado to play the Denver Broncos. Then host Mike LaFleur and the Arizona Cardinals in the preseason finale.

The Packers begin the 2026 regular season with two road games – similar to the 2023 season which turned out OK – first against a divisional opponent in Minnesota against the Vikings on September 13th and then against the New York Jets in Week 2 on September 20th.

The home opener will be on Thursday Night Football against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 3 on September 24th.

The Packers have sort of a road heavy start to the season before a home heavy finish to the season where four of the last five games will be at Lambeau Field – which I like.

It’s a Week 11 bye week which is a solid time to have it.

Although, the Packers don’t necessarily have a “traditional” bye week since the Week 12 game is on Thanksgiving Eve (Wednesday, November25th), but they have three extended rest breaks towards the end of the season. They have nine days off between November 16th through November 24th. They have 10 days off between November 26th through December 5th. Then eight days off between December 26th through January 3rd.

There’s almost zero late season travel after the Week 13 game in New Orleans. The only road game after that is in Week 16 in Chicago.

I really don’t have any complaints about this schedule.

If the rumors are true that Micah Parsons will only miss the first four games of the season, you couldn’t have asked for a better first four games – @ Vikings, @ Jets, vs Falcons, @ Buccaneers – if you’re the Green Bay Packers. Those are four winnable games and if the Packers go 3-1 (or better) than you’re feeling very very good.

Per ESPN (as of ~9:45 AM CT this morning) Packers money line by week:

Week 1: -120

Week 2: -285

Week 3: -360

Week 4: -125

Week 5: -166

Week 6: -166

Week 7: +105

Week 8: -325

Week 9: +105

Week 10: -225

Week 12: +164

Week 13: -230

Week 14: -120

Week 15: -575

Week 16: -102

Week 17: -135

Week 18: -142

Packers are favored in 13 of the 17 regular season games. The only large-ish underdog is Week 12 @ the LA Rams, who Matt LaFleur is undefeated against his his head coaching career.
