The 2026 Horizon League Baseball Tournament gets underway this week starting on Wednesday, May 20th and concludes on Saturday, May 23rd.

The Wright State Raiders won the 2026 Horizon League regular season championship with a 17-7 record to claim the No. 1 seed and serve as the host for the league tournament for the eighth consecutive season at Nischwitz Stadium in Dayton, Ohio.

The Milwaukee Panthers finished at 14-10 to claim the No. 2 seed, while the Northern Kentucky Norse went 12-12 and claimed the No. 3 seed by virtue of holding the tiebreaker over the Youngstown State Penguins who also finished 12-12 and will get the No. 4 seed. The Oakland Golden Grizzles round out the seeding with the No. 5 seed.

Youngstown State and Oakland play in the 4/5 elimination game to open the tournament on Wednesday at 4:00 PM (CDT). The winner will advance to the double elimination portion of the tournament and face top-seeded Wright State on Thursday at 2:00 PM (CDT). Milwaukee and Northern Kentucky will play the first game on Thursday at 10:00 AM (CDT).

All games will be televised on ESPN+.

The Horizon League will likely be a one bid league this year.

It’s imperative for UW-Milwaukee to win the conference tournament and make it to the NCAA Tournament. The program has only made it to the dance four times in program history and haven’t been since the 2010 season. A trip to the dance will help put UWM back on the map and help with recruiting.

Go Panthers!
