Adrain Wojnarowski gave us a Woj-Bomb today after announcing a three-team trade involving the Milwaukee Bucks, Phoenix Suns & Portland Trailblazers.
The Bucks get Damian Lillard, but lost Jrue Holiday, Grayson Allen & some draft picks in the trade.
Here’s my thoughts:
I would have rather had the Bucks trade away Khris Middleton over Jrue Holiday. While Holiday at times had his struggles in the playoffs, without him, the Bucks are not 2021 NBA Champions. A great player & a fantastic person.
Holiday will be missed & I’m sad to see him go. Holiday meant a lot to this franchise both on & off the court.
This move doesn’t guarantee a title because so many other variables factor in to it & the defense will suffer with the loss of Jrue Holiday. That said, Giannis Antetokounmpo can’t ever complain about the franchise not doing everything to win, & this is one of the boldest “win now” moves in Wisconsin sports history.
For now, we get to see this duo in Milwaukee:
