The hottest team in the NFL & the hottest Quarterback in the NFL stayed that way on Sunday in Dallas, as the Green Bay Packers took down the Dallas Cowboys in a game that was not as close as the score shows, setting up a playoff game against the Santa Clara 49ers in Santa Clara, California on Saturday night. Matt LaFleur called a masterpiece of a game.
The Packers are a dangerous team with nothing to lose.
Aaron Rodgers was great & all & I’m happy for the good times we had with him, but at the end of his tenure in Green Bay he really sucked the fun out of this franchise & it’s more obvious now than it’s ever been.
The Santa Clara 49ers are a damn good football team; but no more or less a threat to the Green Bay Packers than were the Dallas Cowboys. Contrary to all the narratives in this 48-hour news cycle, the Cowboys are also a damn good football team that just ran into a buzz saw in this high flying Packers offense… & the Special Teams & defense played solidly for a nice stretch, along with adding enough splash plays to really complement the play of the offense.
The Cowboys have nine All-Pros on their roster this season. The 49ers have seven. Both teams earned their accolades. However, if we evaluate the last 2 regular season games in which both teams played their starters & were going full throttle, there really wasn’t a bunch to praise about either team:
The 49ers got their doors blown off by the Baltimore Ravens, & played an OK game against the Washington Commanders.
The Cowboys had an interesting win on a mystery reporting foul against the Detroit Lions, then they blew the doors off the Washington Commanders.
So, there’s nothing to make me believe the 49ers are some almighty juggernaut that the Cowboys shouldn’t have been considered as well; & we saw what happened to them!
NFL seasons are processes. You are either exhibiting and exposing weaknesses, or developing & progressing towards the objective of winning a Super Bowl with development that finds you performing better & best when it’s most needed: during the run towards the playoffs, & in the playoffs. Being great at the beginning of the season, & even in the middle doesn’t mean a damn thing if a team peaks too early. There’s lot of teams in NFL history that have been great but never won the Lombardi! They’ve won their respective Division & had great regular season records, but never figured out the correct formula to win the ultimate prize.
The Packers haven’t peaked… & are progressing. That’s what makes them extremely dangerous now… FOR ANY TEAM!
He tried to tell us….

I’ve also seen a lot of neanderthals backtrack on their Jordan Love slander & are starting to get annoyed when I continue to bring it up when they had no problem bashing him on a weekly basis with texts. How convenient of them….
Maybe Brian Gutekunst knows what he’s doing.
If the Baby Packers go to Santa Clara & exorcise those demons, I’m going feral & will be insufferable to deal with if you’re not a Packers fan &/or were bashing JLove until the Packers started winning
Green Bay Packers versus the Detroit Lions in the NFC Championship Game…..I wouldn’t be shocked one bit.
